The paintings are centered around Gods, Goddesses and Saints. The adornment in the form of Ornamental stones, Gold and rich vibrant colors, with fine artistic work, form the characteristics of these paintings. This form of art, inspired by a similar art form being done in Vrindavan, has been evolved and developed by Kumud and R. K. Goel over the past few years.

Gold Leaf - The ancient, painstaking art of Gold leafing imparts a mellow richness that metallic paints just can't match. Burnished Gold leaves bring an Oriental gleam to the paintings. These 24 Carat Gold leaves are made by hand. Small pieces of Gold are placed between sheets of parchment and pounded repeatedly with wooden mallets to form large sheets. In this style, paintings are embellished with Gold leaves and Ornamental stones. The Gold areas are of two kinds --- flat and embossed. Embossed style raised relief is created in certain areas and Gold leaf is applied on it.

Ornamental Stones - The figures are always robust and the dress courtly. The jewellery is elaborate and detailed carefully. The composition is always figurative with the background being very limited as the main image. Sparkling stones are used to highlight certain aspects of the painting like ornaments, dresses etc. by gem-set technique.

Painting - Fine painting is done for the figurines and the backdrops, the vibrant colors give the final touch to the paintings.
